News ReleasesOctober 14, 2021 The Cyberplat electronic payment system has never had payments in favor of illegal online casinos and bookmakersVerification of transactions in the Cyberplat electronic payment system, including payments that were not made due to the shutdown of Platina bank settlements by the temporary administration on September 17, showed that there were no payments in favor of illegal online casinos and bookmakers. The sudden stop of the bank’s settlements by the temporary administration led to the fact that 518 thousand payments of the country’s residents were not communicated to the recipients. Cyberplat provides a list of providers in favor of which payments were not made on September 17. A significant proportion of them are payments to the state: the Federal Tax Service, the Federal Migration Service, the Federal Bailiff Service, traffic police fines. Cyberplat clarifies that failure to pay, for example, an administrative fine within the prescribed period entails administrative liability in the form of a double fine (Article 20.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. A large volume of «pending» payments is occupied by payment for banking services: repayment of loans, loans, replenishment of card accounts of individuals. Comparable with it is the amount of payments to suppliers of housing and communal services: (energy and gas sales companies, management companies) and telecommunications providers (cellular and fixed communications, Internet, digital television). A little less is the payment for transport services (transport cards, taxis, toll roads). There are no illegal online casinos and bookmakers in the list of recipients of payments from individuals conducted in the Cyberplat system. Due to the fact that the Bank of Russia named such payments among the reasons for the revocation of the license from the Platina bank (the settlement bank of the Cyberplat electronic payment system), the company turned to the management of the temporary administration with a request to provide information (recipient, date, amount of payment) about transactions in favor of illegal online casinos and bookmakers. The provisional administration, using the bank’s ABS, could promptly provide the necessary information, but no response has been received from it so far.
